It’s a small town facing big issues, so people who want to be involved in shaping the future of Hawea are invited to attend a community interactive meeting to discuss four current topics: the proposed Spark 4G tower; the Proposed District Plan, the Capell Avenue commercial precinct and the proposed Wanaka airport.
All discussion and input from the community will be recorded in a roundtable format and collated as baseline data to help inform the Hawea Community Association (HCA) in its actions on the above four topics.
There will also be an update on the proposed Special Housing Area, website development, wastewater treatment, challenges to the Proposed District Plan by developers (primarily the urban growth boundary) and other topics.
HCA is looking for volunteers to help facilitate and scribe the meetings. If you can help, contact email@example.com. The meeting is Saturday May 11 at the Lake Hawea Community Centre, Myra Street at 8.30am for tea and coffee, and 9am start.
