Camping strategy drop-in session

Queenstown lakes District Council is holding a drop-in session today (Wednesday, September 12), at the Lake Wanaka Centre to share its progress on a Responsible Camping Strategy for the district.
QLDC has been working the Department of Conservation, Land Information New Zealand, NZ Transport Agency, and Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment on the strategy.
The informal community information sessions will be held in Queenstown and Wanaka to share the high-level approaches proposed and the initial plans to manage the expected influx of campers over this coming summer period.
People can drop in any time between 4pm-8pm to have an informal chat with QLDC and DOC staff.
