H.G. Wells said, “Every time I see an adult on a bicycle, I no longer despair for the future of the human race.”

Bike'vember is all about helping people change their travel behaviour, with the aim to create a cycling town.

This month, the Bike'vember team are encouraging people to “do it yourself” by creating your own Bike'vember.

This year there are no official events, but instead, you choose your own adventure. Some examples are to challenge yourself to go by bike for 30 days, join a group or organise a social ride to Glendhu Bay via Rippon or Edgewater for high tea.

Do you have a favourite commuter route to school or work, or could you simply take your bike to the shops instead of your car this month?

What are you doing for Bikevember?

Share with us what you are doing by commenting on our Facebook post - or email editor@thewanakasun.co.nz - so we can all encourage each other to get out on our bike this month.
