The race is the world’s largest ocean race, taking almost a year to complete on a route which includes stopovers in Punta del Este, Cape Town, Fremantle, Sydney, Hobart, the Whitsundays, Sanya, Qingdao, Seattle, Panama, New York and Derry/Londonderry.

Ben is just one of more than 700 sailors representing more than 40 nationalities across twelve teams, competing on a fleet of identical 70-foot ocean racing yachts.
