Suicide safety talk held in Wanaka

A SafeTALK workshop will be held next week to raise suicide awareness and provide advice on how to help vulnerable people.

The workshop, held by Community Networks on Wednesday April 12, will include a presentation by registered mental health practitioner and experienced facilitator of the internationally recognised SafeTALK Greg Dobson.

SafeTALK aims to expand the reach of suicide intervention skills in communities around the world, and Greg will provide guidance on how to follow the simple yet effective TALK steps; Tell, Ask, Listen, Keep safe.

The workshop starts at 5.30pm at the St John Rooms, Link Way, and is open to everyone aged 17 and over.
