A long-time stalwart for the Luggate Community Graeme Perkins, the former Chair of the Luggate Community Association, has stood down from the role.
He said he had thoroughly enjoyed the past five years working for the Luggate community as chair “but now it is time for a break.”
He will continue to work for Luggate on the LCA committee, however.
Deputy Mayor and Wānaka Councillor Calum Macleod thanked Graeme for his efforts, saying it had been “a pleasure working alongside you and your team on behalf of the good people of Luggate.”
“You can be justifiably proud of the steps we have taken towards securing the new Community facility. I hope that you do indeed find time to enjoy any break you manage to get.”
The new chair is Dave Hawkins, with whom MacLeod said he was also looking forward to working with as the time came to open the District’s first “Passive” Community facility.
