Alpine passes around Wanaka
Crown Range: Elevation 1076m at summit (3530 ft) The Crown Range is the road between Wanaka and Queenstown. This is the highest sealed pass in all of New Zealand, 2m higher than the Desert Road summit on State Highway 1 in the North Island.
Lindis Pass: Elevation 971m at summit (3,186 ft) SH8 between Tarras and Omarama
Haast Pass: Elevation 564m at summit (1,850 ft) SH6 – the saddle between the valleys of the Haast and Makarora Rivers.
